I've always wanted to ride horses on the beach and found a place in Half Moon Bay, the Seahorse Ranch. I stayed at the Half Moon Bay Lodge because it was close to the ranch. The hotel was so beautiful and offered much more than I expected. I had one of the best times of my life horse back riding on the beach and the hotel just added to my memorable experience - thanks to all for a wonderful trip to California. I had heard about the PubClub in Hermosa Beach and all the cool places on Pier Avenue. I ended up staying at the Hermosa Beach Quality Inn. The hotel has new rooms and an awesome breakfast bar. I ended up having a great trip to southern California.

The FogCatcher Inn is in Cambria and I've always wanted to stay there. But I really wanted to do some wine tasting in Paso Robles. I decided I could have the best of both worlds, stay at the beach and drive a short distance over to Paso Robles. The wines over in Paso Robles were well worth the drive and will keep me going back to the area.

I go to Pismo Beach just to have a bowl of clam chowder from The Splash Cafe. I've never stayed at the Cottage Inn before and gave it a try this trip. It was fantastically charming. I spent a good amount of time just taking in the views while relaxing at the oceanfront pool. What a great combo; chowder at Splash Cafe and a visit to the Cottage Inn.
